1909 three row menagerie W.F. Mangels carousel with 44 horses by Charles Carmel and two beautiful dragon-style chariots. Horses have been professionally restored. A truly historic carousel.
Three-row menagerie carousel built by Wm. F. Mangels of Coney Island, NY in 1909. Populated with 44 hand-carved wooden figures by Charles I.D. Looff, Charles Carmel, and Stein & Goldstein, three of the finest carving shops in the flamboyant Coney Island style.
This 50-foot diameter ride carries giraffes, goats, camels, and two chariots along with standing, prancing and jumping horses in three rows.
